View all newsThe business has grown substantially in nearly 10 years of trading and now employs a Project Manager, four office-based staff and over thirty subcontractors working with us, many of whom live in the Sedgemoor area.
Working throughout the South West, encompassing Bristol and Weston-super-Mare, Exeter and Taunton. We have undertaken numerous carpentry projects in the Sedgemoor area over the past 12 months including Station Road in Brent Knoll, All Saints Terrace in Bridgwater, Northgate Yard in Bridgwater, Durleigh View in Bridgwater, and a shop installation in Bridgwater for a national company. We are an award winning company over the years.
We use local suppliers including AG&R, Electro South West, The Fascia Place, Somerset Joinery Solutions Ltd and Locks, Doors and Window Fittings for fixtures and fittings, as well as the local branch of Bradfords Building Supplies. We use Fairway Office Supplies for paper supplies, Witchell Auto Services to maintain and service our works vehicles and Maxwells Chartered Accountants oversee the Company accounts.
Our attention to quality and health and safety is reinforced with memberships of TRADA, SMAS and The Building Safety Group. A detailed annual application has to be submitted to SMAS annually, proving health and safety standards along with evidence to show other requirements such as Environmental awareness are met. The Building Safety Group are our health & safety advisors, and they make regular site visits to ensure high standards are met. Regular toolbox talks, such as dust awareness and manual handling, are given to subcontractors working on site and all subcontractors must hold a valid and current CSCS card to demonstrate to they are qualified to undertake the allocated tasks. All staff complete a health declaration on an annual basis.
We are committed to always maintaining the highest professional environmental standards within our team. We aim to integrate sustainable methods into our everyday activities where possible by ensuring we select sustainable materials, keep wastage to a minimum and to utilise existing materials. We have a wealth of experience and feel compassionate about driving innovation within the sector. We only ever use PEFC or FSC certified products ensuring we promote timber as a renewable and sustainable material. Paper for the office is climate neutral paper and printer toners are returned to our supplier for recycling. We also re-cycle all paper, cardboard and cans that get used in the office.
We were able to adapt quickly and put the best working practises in place during the pandemic. Clerical staff worked from home and site procedures were reviewed regularly and updated, enabling work to continue as safely as possible.
Our trade operatives are our most valued asset, they are highly skilled, dependable, and professional. Having a reliable and dependable workforce gives us confidence in what we can achieve, and this is proven by having lots of returning customers.
