The company was formed after over 15 years of experience of project management within the Construction Industry, our first projects were awarded with local Main Contractors which allowed us to demonstrate our high quality trades and reliability, for which the foundation of Constructs was formed.
2014
We started to obtain a good reputation and repeat Custom for high quality works and a high understanding of the whole projects requirements, this allowed us to gain traction with our Customer base and good tradesman wanted to work with us. We had the opportunity to work with McCarthy & Stone on a 65 bed retirement building, we have cherished this relationship ever since and undertaken many of these developments all over the South West.
2015
Due to the increasing demand and requirements we achieved BM Trada, Q Mark accreditation for fire door installations. Ahead of the trend we focused heavily on the audit process of fire door installations to allow us to provide Customers re-assurance of a fully accredited installation and protect the business and the buildings we were part of providing for the future.
2016
We obtained category A status with Willmott Dixon. Willmott Dixon ever since have been a valued Customer, with a very similar ethos of a Quality first approach, ever since 2016 we have worked closely and highly value each other project to project.
2017
We continued our work spread across all sectors, Retirement, Commercial and Housing and won many contracts on a repeat business basis. Working on multiple retirement developments with McCarthy & Stone, Churchill and Galliford Try Partnerships, our high quality workmanship and fire door accreditation proved invaluable for both the business and our Customers.
2018
With our eye to detail we were awarded a number of projects at Poundbury which is led by the Duchy of Cornwall, traditional designs and layouts with a high quality finish allowed us to again display our skills.
2019
Continuing with many projects requiring our accredited fire door installations, we continued to build great Customer relationships which also organically transferred into the Housing Association sector with Customers such as EG Carter, Galliford Try Partnerships and more.
2020
During covid lock down we worked with essential projects under new systems and restrictions to ensure that services were still provided (within the government and construction council guidance). Taking advantage of a short period of time to reflect on the past 7 years, we were able to implement some new procedures for the future.
2021
With our preferred Hardie Plank installers accreditation we undertook complete cladding systems on helping hands rail systems, fire barriers and also with the countries first pre-finished rendered board. Constructs were selected to trial the first rendered pre-finished board in the country as our eye for detail and quality installations were recognised as the right contractor to achieve and work the problems with new products. The finished project looked fantastic!
2022
With a great run off the back of Covid the construction industry was extremely busy, however with less, good quality labour available we were very careful to restrict the amount of work we undertook to ensure we delivered as we always have. This paid dividend and we retain our customers and continued to build on repeat business.
2023
We are currently working with all repeat Customers, we have become the go to contractor to many of our Customers which we are very proud of. This is the result of delivering multiple projects of a high standard, being adaptive to methods and requirements and continually maintaining a professional friendly working relationships.
